Our trip to
the US was a hectic and enjoyable one.
Here was our schedule:
24 Mar - MNL-LAX via PAL, We stayed overnight at TRAVELODGE LAX. We had dinner at Denny’s as usual
25 Mar – NHL and GLJ got the
van from LAX; We had lunch at Lucille’s at Chino Hills, Went to April’s house
to bring the pasalubongs. Went to
Fashion Outlet near Las Vegas and checked-in at Tuscany Suites; Archie arrived
around 12 midnight from Manila – LAX – Las Vegas
26 Mar – Las Vegas! We went to Costco then had lunch at the
Charlston Outlet

Went shopping in
Target! Bought Thai take out food for
dinner which we ate at the hotel

In the evening,
we watched Le Reve at Wynn Hotel, it was amazing!

Ate again in Inn
and Out
27 Mar – Met up with Fr. Manny,
we had lunch in a Chinese Restaurant. He
then brought us to the Military Base where we bought some PX Goods and tooks
some photos with the fighter planes, He also brought us to Red Rock Canyon,
spectacular view! Dinner was

28 Mar – We got the 2 vans (7
seater van), My first time to drive in Las Vegas. We had lunch at the Terrible’s buffet. Steak! J The originals went to Walmart and Costco
(where we had snacks). At around 5:30 pm
we went to Fr. Manuel’s parish where we joined part of the service, Washing of
the Feet, as it was Holy Thursday. The
newbies went to Pawnstars and Rick’s Restoration. Dinner was _________________________
29 Mar – Checked-out from
Tuscany Suites, headed for Tonopah (3 ½ hours by car). Stopped over for bathroom break at Area 51
(“Alien area”) Had lunch at Denny’s somewhere in the dessert. Checked-in at Hi Desert Inn Best Western

Went to the grocery/shops to
buy some dinner. Had dinner at the
breakfast place of the hotel. This was
our chance to do our laundry. Hotel was
quaint and nice.
30 Mar – Lunch at Mc Donald’s
in Henderson Lake Tahoe – Harrah’s; Did
some picture taking by the lake, walked around the restaurants and shops, very cold! Dinner at Ralph’s, bought food at the store
and ate there
31 Mar – Heard mass at a
nearby church ____________ Lunch at Cawry’s,
Prime Rib Lake Tahoe / Happy Easter; Drove to Reno; Played at Circus Circus;
Dinner at Taco Bell with Betty, Archie and Audrey
01 Apr – Went to Safeway to
buy chocolates on Easter sale, Picture taking by the Lake, Saw snow en route to
SFO, Lunch at Sizzler, Stop at Sacramento for picture taking in State Capitol

Dinner at the
Chinese Restaurant near the hotel. Went
to Trader Joe’s and Walgreens near the hotel
02 Apr – Hop On and Off Tour
in San Francisco; Lunch of Clam Chowder in Pier 39 Fisherman’s Wharf; Drank
Biscoff Coffee; Took pictures with the Sea Lions; Bought food for cooking at an
Asian Grocery; Betty cooked dinner in the hotel; went to Fisherman’s Wharf
again, Biscoff coffee again
03 Apr – Lunch at Alioto’s,
Mechanical Museum, Coffee at Ghirardeli, Went through Lombard Street, Went to
Target nearby, Betty cooked dinner in the hotel. We went back to the Target nearby which was
attached to the mall, bought 2 pairs of jeans and a skirt for Audrey. Archie was also able to buy shirts at Old
Navy
04 Apr – Monterey, Lunch at
Applebee’s at Gilroy, went shopping at Gilroy Outlet, bought a Lacoste Shirt,
Archie was able to buy his Kenneth Cole shoes, Stayed at Days Inn Downtown
Monterey, Dinner at Cannery Row.
05 Apr – Lunch at Pebble
Beach, Went to a Tire repair shop to have tire of van changed, went to Party
City and Target, went to Hearst Castle for overnight – Days Inn San Simeon, had
dinner at the restaurant in front of the hotel
06 Apr – Hearst Castle Tour,
Bought hotdogs for lunch at the gas station near the hotel, drove to Camarillo;
checked- in at Best Western Camarillo; went shopping at the Camarillo Outlets,
bought shoes and bag at Tory Burch, Dinner at the Outlet (Chinese Take out),
Taco Bell, went to nearby bar, near the hotel
07 Apr – Birthday of Tats,
Mass at nearby church – St. Mary Magdalen, Was supposed to have lunch at the
nearby Marie Calender’s but it was full so we decided to have lunch at Coco’s
which was also very near the hotel, checked-in at Ayres Hotel Chino Hills, went
to the Sese’s house to get balikbayan boxes and shipped orders, dinner at Hong
Kong Palace for Tatsy’s birthday. Seses,
Tita Delia, Ate Larissa, Marvin, Tita Lina, Tito Amang, Tita Mely, Manang
Minnie’s family as guests. Bought
candles at the nearby 99cents store
08 Apr – Shoppes at Chino
Hills, Bought some items at Trader Joe’s, Lunch at Inn and Out, Target, Archie, Betty and Nowee take PAL flight to
Manila, Went to JC Penny, Marshall’s and
bought Jollibee Chicken Joy for the kids for take-out, Dinner in the hotel c/o
Tita Linda’s Asado, walked to Toys’ R Us with the kids
09 Apr – Cabazon Outlet with
Tito Romy, Lunch at the outlet, Costco to buy steaks, went to the Shoppes –
Bought a top at H & M, Trader Joe’s shopping with Ats and Audrey, went to
Vons to buy Panda Express, Japanese sushi, Lasagna – dinner at hotel
10 Apr – Lunch at Marie
Calenders near Puente Hills Mall, Went to Puente Hills Mall where we saw the
Max’s restaurant, went to Walmart, was able to exchange some items, Dinner at
the Hotel – bought take out food from Manila Bay Seafood, went to Westfield
West Covina, Marshalls, World Market, Party City, TJ Max/Homegoods and Target
with Ats
11 Apr – Yummy steak lunch at
Tita Delia’s house, Mahjong for Mom with Tito Amang, Aling Crising and Tita
Lina, we went to South Coast Plaza, very nice mall, Went to Walmart where I
lost Audrey’s pink and white v-neck long sleeve shirt because I left it in the
cart then couldn’t find the cart again.
Traffic en route to the hotel, dinner with Lucille and sister, Seses at
Manila Bay Seafood at the Commons, very near the hotel
12 Apr - Target and Vons – I drove J, Lunch at
Lucille’s, Returned van to Ontario airport, Carlo brought the meat items to the
hotel, Took a bath, Pick up by Prime Shuttle, Ninong Romy and Tita Yoli saw us
at Ayres before check-out, Take flight to MNL
13 Apr – Airplane
14 Apr – Technical Stop in
Guam / 7AM Home Sweet Home J
